I am seeing a lot of superlatives getting thrown about in these reviews. It can make it tough to establish if this is the appropriate product for you. I would say that for MOST audiophiles and nearly all other ps3 owners, this is a worthy obtain. There is nevertheless a segment of very discerning audiophiles that this will just not suffice.

Update (9/13/11): I just wanted to mention anything that I am noticing about the unfavorable reviews. Some individuals are complaining of static. I have totally none. In truth, you would feel the headphones were off entirely during loading screens it is so quiet. The men and women complaining of that are experiencing interference with some other device, in all probability a wireless router near their ps3. There may be other devices that make interference. Update (9/21/11): I just wanted to say I now prefer the virtual surround exclusively when gaming. Maybe I just had to get utilised to the sound. Ohh ease of setup is so Plug N play its not funny lol. I hope absolutely everyone who gets this is as happy as i was simply because i swear there were numerous times final night when i was playing Resistance three that i forgot i had them on and i had my tv up to loud....seriously. I was all receiving off my couch and going to lower the audio on the television and then id really feel the headset and don't forget im and idiot haha. There just so significantly better then any headset ive owned and ive owned two from each ends of the price and gaming spectrem. These sound greater then both feel greater built, there wirless, and there only 99 dollars. There could'nt possiably be any haters out there SONY knocked it out of the park.
PS pretty much forgot, Chat is crystal clear, there was no cutting out i heard them clear and i think they heard me fine, they'd attack where i told them to so idk. I hope i helped my peeps.
